Anisotropy of the Diffraction Limit and Bayesian Estimation of Structure Amplitudes
This tool extracts the anisotropy information in the STARANISO log
file from a successful run and outputs it in a format that we recommend
should be used as an addendum to 'Table 1' for publication of
results.
Note that in those cases of historical data where the data
were re-indexed internally (this applies only to jobs run on or since
15th May 2020 where the space group setting is C121), the output values
for the orthogonal axes of the diffraction limits in terms of the
reciprocal unit-cell vectors will differ from those in the log file,
because only in those cases the reciprocal cell vectors used were those
of the re-indexed cell, whereas on this page they are those of the
original cell.
The preceding does not apply to data submitted to the server
going forward: they are now always given in terms of the original
reciprocal unit-cell vectors.
In all cases the direction cosines output both in the log file
(for historical and new data) and on this page are always in the
orthogonal basis according to the standard PDB convention.
For reference, the PDB orthogonalization convention is:
x parallel to a, y parallel to
c* xa and z parallel
to c*, with the origin of the orthogonal frame at the
origin of reciprocal space.
